I had this friend called Alison in highschool whom I never really respected because no matter how long I knew her or how much time I spent with her she just seemed empty. She greatly surprised me one English class when she recognised a Beatles quote i’d absently written in my exercise book, and told me she greatly loved the Beatles and knew an ample number of their songs by heart and the rest by name within the first 5 seconds of play.
I once tried to keep a written record of my every memory but it was just too astronomical a task.
anyway, started packing today. i’ll have quite a bit of excess baggage at $11-30 per piece, compared to $200 per piece to have it shipped down. I keep thinking: i’d better take this non-essential item, because what if the house burnt down while I was away and I lost it? then again, what if where i’m to live in Brisbane burns down and I lose everything I take?
someone actually wrote “se la vi!” in an email to me. lol
the babies came out of the nest today. the mother swooped frantically all over the place making lots of noise while they flew around 5 cm from the ground crashing into things. they’ve got big bird feathers (birds grow so fast!), but are still fluffy with no tails, so. I hope they’ll be okay.
Miss Polly had a dolly who was sick, sick, sick
So she called for the doctor to come quick, quick, quick!
The doctor came with his bag and his hat,
And he knocked on the door with a rat-a-tat-tat.
He looked at the dolly and he shook his head,
He said, “Miss Polly, put her straight to bed!”
He wrote on a paper for a pill, pill, pill;
“I’ll be back in the morning with my bill, bill, bill.”
