Finally wide-awakedly got up to take an avil at 3am. I must have fallen asleep right away, as 10 actual minutes later I received an SMS from Vicki that I didn’t even hear though the phone was right by my head. Go Avil!
Slept until 7am when the jackhammering began yet again. I was so sure they wouldn’t continue 7am drilling on a weekend, but no. I overestimated the kindness of strangers. The worst thing is they only did it for an hour before being silent the rest of the day. Really? They just had to do their 1hour of jammering at 7am? THANKS GUISE.
Met Vicki and her friend Paul for breakfast at Moray Cafe, tried eggs benedict for the first time in my life, and hated it, but Jason let me swap (yay foodsharing!). Vicki informed me she found a nearly full Entertainment Book on the road, and that it included 2for1 tickets to Alma Park Zoo. Zoo? Zoo! ZOOOOOOOOOOooooooo!
So we went to the zoo. They had marmosets and I am now completely and utterly in adore with marmosets, marmosets. They also had red pandas 🙂
Went back to Vicki & Chelle’s for further drinx and to see if Vicki’s corset would work with her bridesmaid’s dress, which it didn’t, really. I thought it loooked great but she has to match perfectly with the other bridesmaids. doh. Weddings are weird.
Went home for a nap before going out to Cyber City for giant beers and pool with a girl called Laura whom Jason had met on the Internet. She was reeeeeally quiet, or shy or something. We came back to our place for further drinx and to play Sex Maniacs (silly, silly board game) and stayed up till 3am again. It was okay, but a bit dull. The dangers of meeting people off the internet, I guess.
Oh one more zoo thing. They used to have some critically endangered Tamarin monkeys, but the cage was empty with flowers out front. When we asked them why, they told us that the pregnant female had been stolen and her partner had been beaten to death.
🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁
I fucking hate the world.
