This could easily become a weekend summary blog, with every post entitled “What I did on the weekend” and dated Monday. Not such a bad thing when every other post would begin and end with “I worked today.”
Thursday night we went ten-pin bowling with Seb and three other people. We played two rounds and by the end of it my right arm was limp and exhausted and I’d come last both times. Like, way last. It was a lot of fun though.
Friday I had one private practice client. I’ve seen him 8 times now, and he has improved amazingly much so we are going to fortnightly sessions. I have two other current clients, one of whom I already see fortnightly, and one who cancelled her last appointment due to measles and hasn’t rebooked. I’m sure she will… but it means not many sessions and I haven’t gotten any new clients since these three.
Friday night was drinking at Brenton’s, I think, with Tom and Jimmy. I think? I’m having difficulty recalling if it was that night. Anyway it was fun. I was pretty hungover Saturday. We went shopping in the city. Sometimes I wonder what is the point of living in a capital city when I so hardly ever visit the CBD. My world consists of inner suburbs – Kedron to Wooloowin to Nundah to Woolloongabba and back.
Was supposed to go to Storm’s houseparty but watched movies at home instead. Regretface cuz Storm said it was pretty great.
Sunday night was a party at this girl Star’s house in Wooloowin. She had a staffy and 100% nicotine (yikes). I tried to give Darren my boots but they wouldn’t fit him. I drew pictures of unicorns in my journal while drinking too much moonshine.
Today (Monday) we went to see the new house that Brenton’s parents just bought in New Farm. It was very swanky and they’re looking to rent it out for $1600 per week. Do people really pay that much in rent because I am baffled. Afterwards we went to a ribs place for lunch where I didn’t share the wine but was still able to get along with them pretty great (we almost always drink with his pars so it was hard to tell if it’d be as comfortable sober).
That evening Storm and Ticket came over for banana liqueur & cider & we made garlic bread & roast vegetables and watched The Intouchables and talked a buncha crap. Storm and Ticket seemed really happy and we all laughed a lot.
I wonder if I seem happy. Am I happy? My life seems to be on a bit of a plateau. I’m not even sure. I’m not unhappy, though.
